Just before you read this, let me make it clear, I'm talking about stuff that will spoil the book if you haven't read it...
Okay? Fine:
Argh! Come on, people, read faster! I want to talk about Amoratos and dizzies and Brilliance and Bras and why the heck Kat was there... *impatience*

Making myself known as instructed... Loved Crash, bit of a problem putting it down to be honest. Definitely the fastest paced of the three. So is Glori still alive you think?

I definitely hope so - poor Glori... Though this might be a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, since I have a tendency to yell "YAY, LESBIANS!" at random intervals. I think the imagery in this book was a lot more vivid in places than in the other two books, and the scene with Glori's torture is one of them. I also LOVED the whole concept of dizzies and addiction to them - it's like taking substance abuse to a whole new level.

Hi Jac, about time too! ;D Welcome aboard. And thanks for doing that review. I'll look forward to reading the others when you do them. I think Glori might be still alive. But what would I know MDP

Forgive the double username thing, I have a knack for messing up forum software... (long story, very dull I would hope she's alive, I've always had a bit of a thing for blondes... (But I always fall head over heels in love with brunettes - coincidence? I think not!) I wrote the review at work, read through the draft and realised I hadn't mentioned the fact that I love that book! Five drafts later I was getting close to happy. I'll try and get one done for Code Noir asap, they should get progessively better if my reactions are anything to go by. J

I hope Glori's still alive, too. Would be interesting to see how Parrish reacts to her after the Eskaalim is gone (it's gonna go, right?).
Writing a review for Crash is hard... I've just finished one for the newsletter that'll be going out from Marianne's site soon, and I just want to tell everyone what happened! Had to bite my tongue a few times. "And all along KAT had a part in it, isn't it great?! Oh, wait, I can't put that..." ;D

I must admit the whole Kat thing took me by surprise. I had no idea who the mystery saviour was going to be. To be honest with the whole amorato thing I'd forgotten all about it! J

Same here. And the whole 'FINALLY she gets to sleep with Daac!' thing. And then all of a sudden, there's Kat... When I get back round to writing fanfic, I'll have to do an introspection piece about Parrish's feelings about that. Cause I'd be pretty damn shocked if I were her.

I really didn't care about the Daac thing, yeah she fancied him, big deal. She didn't actually like him and call me old fashioned but I want lust and love in my books. I was more concerned about her losing Teece. Finding out Kat was alive only to see her die was a bit of a bummer too, initially I thought that her feelings were underplayed about that, but Marianne assures me she wrote it that way on purpose because the Eskaalim was controling her emotions...

I was a bit gutted about Teece too. Though after hearing a bit more about Tingle I don't think I hate her as much as I did. And yeah, I know I wasn't meant to hate her from the start. I wonder what the baby will be like? Also, I can't imagine births in the Parrishverse happen without some kind of gadget to help the process along... Think Parrish-post-Eskaalim will end up a traumatised wreck? She's pretty much broken every code of ethics that she held dear at the start of Nylon Angel...

To be honest I have a bad feeling about the future for Parrish. She's pretty much caused a revolution, sent everyone she's ever cared for who's still alive off to war and she's abandoned the only way she knows to get rid of the Eskaalim.
I'll certainly be interested to read them, but I think they might be darker books.

I LOVE dark books. But yeah, I do see what you mean.
I'd be quite interested to have one of the books from Teece's POV, have Parrish go temporarily insane and be committed and her dear friend have to take centre stage for a bit while trying to find a way to help.

Hi jac, Kat isn't dead. She's wounded and beaten up by Monk. But I never actually say she's dead (cos she aint). that's why Parrish isn't violently upset. MDP

That's cool, obviously my assumption. I think there's some explaining that needs to be done between those two...

Yep... a definite showdown, I'd say! *lol* I was going to say, I don't remember Kat dying... But I was reeeally tired by the end of the book, so I thought I might have misread.
