Hey Amy,
she looks pretty perfect for Parrish, as as long as she can run. A lot of female actors look like they've never run to the end of the street!
I'm not familiar with Chris Lemcke - but I take your word for it - tho' he would need to dye his hair blonde.
Daac is the hard one.

*has had soft spot for Lemche ever since seeing Ginger Snaps* *grumbles about nasty writers that TRICK you into thinking your fave charrie is going to live then KILLS them off*
Michelle Rodriguez would be good, she was in Resident Evil and did a lot of the running and the shooting and the cool kick arse heroine stuff. I reckon she'd be able to pull off Parrish's personality pretty well too. Daac is definitely the hard one, partly because what one person thinks is drool-worthy beautiful isn't going to be the same as teh next person, so there's no way you can pick someone everyone will be happy with.
Hypothetically speaking, if a movie were to be made, how much say in stuff liek this would you get Marianne? I know that if I were a writer having their book made into a movie I wouldn't be able to stand someone else picking actors and locations and all that.

Hi Mouse,
the scripting and artistic influence of the author is pretty limited unless you somehow manage to have it written into the deal. Someone like JK Rowling probably had a fair say, but usually that's not the way.
You have to be prepared to hand it over. It's as though it becomes another text altogether and thats why so many people get disappointed with book to film changes.
Occasionally you get a real success - but in the end you have to be prepared for a different interpretation of your world.
CJ, I don't know who I'd like as Daac, probably someone unknown. MDP

One of my assignments was to take the first 30 pages of a contemporary book and turn it into a film script. I immediately went, "Yay! Nylon Angel"... and then he went on to squish all my creative impulses by saying "no sci-fi, fantasy or horror."
I have nothing left on my bookshelf once you take those away!

It's so obvious, I can't believe no-one's said it... unless I'm just wayoff. Trinity from The Matrix as Parrish? She looked harder and harder as the trilogy went on - she must kill with a look by now. Maybe she's too associated with the Matrix to pull it off.. Clone Yuel Brinner (no idea of the spling) and raise him to the age of 25 - that's Daac sorted. Christian Slater is Sto. Valentino Rossi as Teece (Or Brad Pitt if he's busy).
And I'll play Parrish's favourite tactile in the bar. ;D

Argh! >_< Carrie Ann Moss was so emotionless as Trinity. I can see where you're coming from though. Hey, you don't get to be the tactile! I'M the tactile! ;D

Yeah, I'm with Chir on CAM. I would prefer Parrish to be a fresh face and v. athletic. Am happy to go with more established names for Daac and Teece.

I realise our esteemed leader (she is the reaon we're all here after all, Sorry Chir just said a fresh face, but I always imagined Sigourny Weaver in the part. She carries all to perfection in the Alian series, ranging from scared cat lover to an alien nemesis herself. She carries hardbody and menace to a new level. Alas she isn't exactly a fresh face anymore but she does have Parish's hard nose, menace and glare down pat. Whats the colour of a two cent piece? Copper, copper ;D

MM, I have to say I'm a major Sigourney fan too. However, much as she is wonderful she would have trouble playing a woman half her age I think. I see her as the older, smarter Parrish POKE, POKE! MDP ps I hope you guys are going to conrtibute to out guest author threads... how about you tell me who you would be interested in chatting to here. I'll see what I can do!

Hmmmm I think I know who would make a good Mei, its this japanese model called Fukada Kyoko, wether she'd do it or not god knows - idols.netdreamland.com/Fukada/Fukada13.jpgHmmm Sto......I'd say you'd have to do auditions for 'tall, gangly ginger haired male persona for movie' Parrish I'd say either the Michelle lady Chirugal said or Angelina Jolie and Uma Thurman might be intresting...... Oh and for Daac you have to so get Vin Diesel wallpapers.duble.com/1/Celebrity%20Male/Vin%20Diesel/2.jpgI think he'd make a great Daac personally I also agree with Chirugal for Kris Lemche for Teece
