she looks pretty perfect for Parrish, as as long as she can run. A lot of female actors look like they've never run to the end of the street! Aaah. Michelle Rodriguez is a nice choice. She played a role in the Resident Evil Movie which involved a few stunt scenes.. not sure if she did the stunts herself though... >_>;

Greetings all. I'm new to the forum. I just finished Nylon Angel today and so far I love the series.
What about Michael Clark Duncan for Loyl?

Hey metalwolf! It's great to see a new face around here - post anywhere you like and someone'll try to reply...(with you and Stellar we might even come alive slightly again)

Thanks for the welcome ;D
This may be an unpopular choice but...what about Lucy Lawless as Parrish? Yeah I know to most people she'll always be Xena...but I could see her as Parrish...or maybe I'm just warped...

Actually, funny you say that, but there was a move a while back to attract Lucy lawless to the movie project. Alas it was at the time of the New Orleans floods (she lived there) and I'm convinced the mail got washed out to sea.

*bumps thread* I vote Rhona Mitra! You guys, see Doomsday. It's a totally craptastic film (I love it because it's so bad, though it's a blatant rip-off of 28 Days Later, 12 Monkeys, Aliens, Gladiator, Mad Max, Lord of the Rings... many, many movies!) but there's a section of it that's VERY strongly reminiscent of the Parrishverse. For me, anyway. *nods* Lookie!

She has the right look and attitude. Now if she can speak with an australian accent she's in.

Hey guys,
I think she fits. She reminds me of Kate Beckinsale. Now we just need someone in Oz to make the movie. A prod/director with balls.

I like the look of her - not too pretty Doomsday looks like a definite 'Rent on $2- Tuesday' movie, so I shall at some point once its out on DVD (which could be a while...). I love so-bad-its-good movies!

Hi Marianne, Shadowrun is a near-future distopia RPG which has been through several different incarnations. It was originally set in 2050, but has moved along over the years to the mid 2060's. It actually shares many themes with your Parrish books-but magic is far more prevalent, there actually are dragons and other classic fantasy creatures (barghests are used as guard-dogs) and giant corporations own the world. This would appear to be someone's private homage to Parrish-adapting the character for a player in their game.
I used to play Shadowrun a fair bit. And by the way-it's good to be back.

Claudia Black would be an excellent choice. She's tall (or at least seemed it in Farscape and Pitch Black), athletic, hardcore and not adverse to sci-fi.
Also mebbe Milla Jovovic with dreads?

Was Claudia Black in Pitch Black? I'll have to re-watch it and actually notice her this time through!
I quite liked her in Stargate, although she didn't seem excessively tall to me in that.
What's Milla Jovovic in? - I can't remember hearing the name before
PS - good to have you back Stellar!

Thanks Sheyana. I recently re-read the first NA book and that whet my appetite for more. Milla Jovovic- The Fifth Element, the Resident Evil franchise (three films), Ultraviolet (although that should never have been made...), He Got Game and others. Bit of a MTA, but she's got martial arts training. Check IMDB for more.
