YAY Maxine! ;D How do you feel? Thanks very much!! Feels unreal. I was over the moon at even being shortlisted. The Aurealis shortlist is a good guide to what's being written in Australia at the moment, I think. (I was expecting Marianne to have two books on the shortlist--I think the judges thought that would be excessive, like having double cream in Viennese coffee... ) How's your writing going, Chirugal? I've just got back to work from a holiday and have rediscovered how short 24 hours is per day. Cheerio Maxine

How's your writing going, Chirugal? I've just got back to work from a holiday and have rediscovered how short 24 hours is per day. Don't I know it! ;D Thanks for asking, Maxine! My writing is... hmmm. Well, I finally finished that fanfic I was talking about, the one with the fight I couldn't write. I don't know how well it works, but I've finished the fic (62 000 words in the end!). I was talking to Mouse on MSN last night and she inspired me to start rewriting my 'novel', so I'm pretty excited about that. Just a bit worried that I'll end up writing something generic. How about your writing - how's that going?
