What do you guys think will happen? Think we'll find out who Parrish's mysterious journo pal is? I have a theory that it's Razz Retribution, and she staged her own death... mwa ha ha! And I hope there's at least a cameo from Bras. I love her!

Surely you girls aren't serious about Tingle Honeybee? Just cause Teece has finally found someone who has fallen for him and that he can love back doesn't mean she's the dragon lady sent in to give Parrish a hard time. You guys should be happy for him, Teece certainly seemed eager enough to put his life on hold for a woman that while affectionate, he knew the love would never burn as bright for him as it had done for her. Lets face it ladies poor old Teece was treated as a resource while Parrish hungered for another, not exactly fair now is it? Not to mention how much his feelings got screwed over when her Eskalim escalated lust took over, again the poor guy was nothing more than a means to an end, a glorified dildo. I say let him have his new love and good on him. All praise Tingle Honeybee says I. There that should get the flamage happening As for Bras all I can say is, No good deed goes unpunished, I get the distinct feeling it won't be a touchy feely sort of reunion when Bras returns

Hey, Tingle Honeybee was painted as a, well TEXT! thats how she came across and its obvious Teece is using her as a rebound anyway! he's in L,O,V,E with Parrish! ;D but yes we must end this Bee bashin and as for Bras i never thought it could go bad when they re-united, hmmmm interesting...........

;D I think I'd probably be quite upset if something did happen to Tingle, but I also have an irrational side that means I have to contest her being with Teece, even though he and Parrish would never get together properly anyway.. am I making sense? :s

We've seen 'goboys, we've seen the child-machine mix that is Roo, we've seen what happened to Jamon Mondo. What's left to mix up or hybridise?
People born with multiple organs, for the transplant trade, maybe?

That whole thing about people in Dis trading body parts and genetic material reminded me of something I saw on TV about the transplant trade. There was an Indian guy in debt. We're talking not more than a couple of thousand, and at one point around the equivalent of around £450 if I recall correctly. Not the kind of money that westerners would think twice about. But the interest meant his debt kept spiralling out of control, he had a family to support and they could have lost everything and starved.
Anyway he sold his kidney, cornea, and possibly some other body parts too. Not exactly inessential parts, he couldn't work as a result.
If it were possible to create people who have spare organs, would there be people out there desperate enough to agree to it and others willing to take advantage of the situation? Sure.

This begs the question in sci fi about vat grown or genetic matched organ replacement.
Say theres nothing left to do when an organ fails but to replace it and if you got the dosh you genetically match it to your own by growing a clone one in the "vats" so to speak.
Now a natural organ can't just grow without the support mechanisms of the rest of the human body, so to be successful a whole body is grown.
Here is the problem, what happens to the rest of the bod? Does one throw it away as so much garbage, allow it to wake up or genetically manipulate it to be "brain dead" so there is no moral question in the first place. Ponders the question don't it gang?

In Parrish's world, I don't think they do morals! I simply can't see many people caring, sad as that sounds.

And THAT is probably the worst aspect of the books. In Vivacity the rich are so bored they have to escape to VR to find excitment in thier lives. Any excitement regardless of its moral conatations or failures is consumed.
While on the other hand the poor are desperate for survival and morality is just something else they can't afford.
It reminds me of Steven King's The Running Man. Were the future inhabitants are so bored the number one TV show is basically gladiator games in 3D. The population have been so brainwashed by the media and what they've been fed they don't even ask questions anymore.

That's a good point.
I don't think there's anyone who doesn't kind of go on social autopilot like the Viva residents every now and then - I guess the Parrishverse is just that apathy on a bigger scale.
