Heya all, Me and The Friendly M (otherwise known as Pat) are doing 'The Future' for our final English assessment. It's a multi-modal collage performance ( ) and we thought Parrish might have a good excerpt or two that are particularly dystopian... We'll be re-looking through the books but any help from you lot (memories, page numbers, about where in which book) would be great! Thanks!

Hmmm... off the top of my head, I'd say a lot of the stuff from Code Noir is the most dystopian - particularly descriptions of Dis/Mo-Vay and everything after the canal... CN was definitely the darkest and most dystopian of the three books for me.
Good luck with your project!

Thanks Chir. I'll have a flick through CN and see if I can find something great. We found a scene early in NA that describes the whole landscape (p 11-12 in my version) but CN might be better for really stark contrast to utopia.

LOL, in between our presentations of utopia and dystopia we have a song called 'Future World' by Helloween (Metal Band) which is about the happy world with butterflies and we're going to be shooting at each other and die at the end. should be fun!
