Thank you so much for posting your photos of the Con Sheyana! I really enjoyed them! I sure wish I could have been there. Marianne, thanks! And I can't wait for my signed copy to arrive! Woo Hoo! I have a couple things I've been working on, but I think I'd better put them on hold and work on getting my darn website finished and published. I've been procrastinating. LOL! Happy belated b-day Cary! What a great and memorable way to spend a birthday!

LOL, Cary, now this is really funny ;D My dads the one you had a long conversation with about the Battle of Hastings and a few others which I forget. I'm sure he think's you are sane...but I couldn't guarantee it.
Neyjour, no worries - I love taking photos cause it means I'm not in them! And on a side note (although he may not remember) I told Cary he should have flown you all out for the con...he seemed to think it would cost too much which I suppose is a valid reason not to. ;D

I remember the battle conversation, and I remember being asked about flying artists out. I think my actual answer was that we couldn't afford it (slightly different slant).
It was an interesting way to spend a birthday. Certainly one of my more memorable. I am not sure how real authors handle the stress of it all.
Folks I am still exhausted and working on things from the Con (including publicity for books and game) - and I am due to give plasma early tomorrow - hooray - I get to sleep for a while.

Really, you can't? The boots are New Rocks - they're usually only sold in gothy-type shops or over the internet, and they're really heavy, but way cool. Thanks for your comments, guys. Do you really think of me as my avatar, Shey? I find that hilarious for some reason. ;D

LOL, yeah, it's either the avatar, this faceless entity known as chir. or this vague memory of the picture of you with a leaf...don't worry, it's strangely funny to me too.

*LOL* Oh yeah, the leaf waaay back on page 1 of this thread. I always picture you as your avatar too... I don't know what it's from exactly, but it seems to be in the same style of the early Tamora Pierce covers.

It does, doens't it...I just found it as part of this bigger picture when I was looking for a pic of one of my RPG characters, and liked it so I cut it down to avatar size. Funny really, the character was called Mara, and now it's the face of Sheyana who was a different one of my RPG characters - who looked nothing like the picture!

Nor recently...I mainly did Mercedes Lackey stuff, but I haven't read her books for ages and I'm lacking inspiration for story lines - as well as the fact that I've been stupidly busy with end of school stuff. (It was online, play a character, not with dice etc. roleplaying). I still run the website for one of the groups, but I haven't actually played in ages.

I know the kind you mean... I did a bit of it once, but there weren't many of us and a couple of people put a lot of pressure on me to do my next bit, which kind of pissed me off since RPGing isn't my entire life. So I kind of gave it up.
