Heh, Thanks Mari. ;D Riddick as a kid... ah...that'd be awesome.. But alas, CoR didn't make enough to have an immediate go for sequel making(cause they made the film PG-13 and horribly edited it...I compared the Uncut Director's Edition to the one they did in theatres and jeez... Hollywood is all about a quick buck and poor decisions) anyways, heh heh.. As long as they get the video games up and running, I'm all for it. Escape from Butcher Bay was awesome! Oh yeah..normal pics..where did I place those...

I was one of the few people who actually liked CoR. I haven't played the games, though.

LOL, great pics! you remind me of someone I know, but I can't put my finger on it so I'll leave it for now. The second picture is really funny - it's like all those times you get together for group photos and everyone goes crazy with the poses!

And my friend Sean claims to off known this girl who looks like me in his old school, and my other friend Sara has seen my identical twin wandeing around in gothic gear reading a book. Hi Cj and Ney and all, the Con was great fun. Sheyana and I got hang out some and the launch went well. Bruce Sterling said some very cool things about the future. Cary and Marjorie did a fabulous job with the packaging of the game and the covers look classy. I've signed your copies and they'll be on their way soon. Now go forth and SPREAD WORD to every interested site you can think of I will be appearing at Supanova Expo next weekend to replace Sean Williams who has hurt his neck. Shey is kindly coming to help me (wo)man the booths etc. (www,supanova.com.au ) Well done guys, you are awesome!! hugs Marianne

Sheyana,
You didn't explain who you were - sorry if I didn't sit down and talk about it with you. I am glad that you got the first one however. Will you be at Conflux? Thanks so much for posting these. Folks, I normally do not look that harassed - honestly (nor does Marjorie). We loved the Con. The programming was great, there were stacks of interesting people (including many old friends whom we had not seen for ages) and we had a great time (I even pogoed all through 'Ant Music' at the dance - much to everyone's surprise including mine). The photo of Martianne at the cocktail party also includes Leanne Frahm and Maxine McArthur, but also important authors and the one of Marjorie and I at the same function also has Bill Wright (the older gent) a very important Australian fan. There are many other important Australian writers and fans in the shots as well. The day of the launch was especially important to be as, not only did we release the game (and I was on several panels as well) but also because it was my birthday. Bruce did talk for a while, but it was good stuff (wish I had taped it).
Cary (and I don't know near enough - yet)

Thats okay Cary, I shoulda told you. I enjoyed the launch though, and I think my dad enjoyed talking with you earlier. I won't be at Conflux I don't think - I'll be doing something incredibly (not) interesting like block exams. I was hearing about it, and went to the website - sooo sad! I am now sad I didn't make it to the masquerade, photos of you 'pogoe-ing' would have been great! Happy belated Birthday!

Sheyana,
Now I am really embarassed. Which one was your Dad? I try especially hard to convince parents that we are all sane - OK, sometimes I lie :-)
