I'm not usually a big fan of recapping in books. Usually I'm thinking something along the lines of, "I know all this, get on with it!" when an author does this. And it's true to say that there isn't a lot of this going on in Crash Deluxe.
However, there was something like a two year gap between when I read Code Noir, and when I read Crash Deluxe this week. Not that I didn't want to read it, but sometimes it seems as though I'm just too busy to draw breath. Anyway, when I came back to the Parrishverse it seems I'd forgotten a lot of things, and I really could have done with a glossary. There's a lot of futuristic speech that needs translation, as well as some minor characters who I had mostly forgotten about. It might be a good idea to put one in future editions?
Things like what the different versions of vreal are, what a Canrat is, where is Plastique, what Oya means, what the tribes and groups of the Tert are, and a bit about the religious aspects and shamanism would have been helpful.
Anyway, I loved the book, I was up at 3am reading it. I was just a bit confused at the beginning.

Hey, Ros! I know what you mean about glossaries, sometimes I do appreciate them. I didn't have too much of a problem with Parrish, but the Sentients stuff took me a while to get straight in my head. I don't know if you still need this, but I'm going to try it anyway... Vreal: I think it was only mentioned in Crash (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone!) so we just had to work that out for ourselves as it was explained. Canrats: Doglike things with poisonous things on their back legs (you can tell I'm just going from memory here!). Oya: What the Mueno call Parrish, cause they think she's their holy Messiah-type girl because some feathers with human blood on them fell on her head. Plastique: I can't remember the exact placement, but I know it's where all the freaky plastic surgery and modifications are done. Groups/tribes: The Mueno were the tribal ones, with all their voodoo-type superstitions and trodden-down women. The feral kids were another group, all walking around with bio-bombs and starving on the streets. Doll Feast and Road Tedder were warring for control of Plastique - I think. Jamon Mondo was the ruler of the Stretch, which became Parrish's patch. There was Fishertown on the coast, which was full of fishwives really. And Viva was the big city, and Dis/MoVay was inland, and full of mutations thanks to Doc Del Morte.

My two creds worth.
Vreal: Sounds like it was derivative of "virtual reality".
Canrats: Hybrid animals with bigs from dogs, rats, dingos and just about everything in between
Oya: Warrior goddess of the Mueno tribes. She is shown with a crown of blood and feathers. Parrish is recognised as an avatar of the goddess buy Pas after she is sprayed with blood and feathers from a Mueno house's doorway on entry into one of the place.
Plastique: The region of the Tert where you can buy basically anything and Doll Feast's plastic surgery business is based. Lots of reasonably high-quality cyber and and cosmetic surgery is available.

Chapter 11 of the Nylon Angel RPG has a detailed glossary, which covers just about everything that you can think of.
