Has anyone else read it? Up until very recently, I wasn't a big comic reader. But then my boyfriend got me reading some of his graphic novels, and I am now very hooked on The Sandman, by Neil Gaiman. I read the seventh volume first, but that's probably a good thing because the first is pretty crazy and horrific and I might not have gotten into like I have if I had read it first. It's fantastic, and the only gripe I have is that I can knock over a graphic novel in an afternoon easy. But it's so easy to just dip back into and flip pages and read sections again later, I guess it's okay.

I haven't, but I want to. Maybe I'll do that crafty 'read-it-in-the-shop' thing to make sure I'd like it before shelling out.
What's it about again?

Yes. Have read many graphic novels so to speak. Don't actually own Sandman, though!
Basically about personifications of Dream, Death, Desire, etc. - who are siblings, and interactions with various other mythological figures, humans, etc. At a very basic level anyway.
