Hi guys,
what do you think of Parrish in comic or graphic novel form? Do you think she is suited to that?
Also, I've just started to write a film treatment for Nylon Angel. Are there any scenes in the book that you would really love to see in a movie?

Now, Parrish in comic form would truly kick ass! The only thing that annoys me about most comic heroines, though, is that they are very sex-object-y, their clothes get torn in battle and they end up half naked and stuff - so if you can stop that from happening, that would rock! ;D As for the film treatment... we have to have as much Patand Ibis in as possible. I LOVE Ibis so much!

I must say i differ from Amy, NO i dont like my main characters half naked but i still think its okay in the mtv age to accept the polised perfect messy that Jerry Brookheimer(spelling?) is so famed for. So i wudnt mind if Parissh although in keeping with her description fully! was as pretty as we all know she really is and just cant see it cos of her own self conciousness I agree with no torn clothes though, she'd buy better quality than that! As for scenes Chapter Eighteen in Nylon Angel is one of my all time favourites, the interaction, the human body language and emotion everything in that scene i love! Have it story boarded it in me own head cos i like it so much! i guess i just like how its starts with Parrish looking out the window at the tert war and Daac and his well being Daac

cant say i have but i've seen a cover of one where she teams up with Durham Red (wanna find more on here she rules!) and she does look a tad skank! in the black PVC cat suit gotta admit though i make my charatcers wear some risqué thangs...heehee boys included (wud be no fun otherwise ) But i'm positive Parrish will be kept classy!

Lets face it though gang Parrish has been seen in various states of undress already. Not to mention the bedroom scence with her and Daac (talk about a tease)!
I can think of a few times when action has caused her clothes to end up in a shambles on and off her person.

Hi Patchers,
I need you to do some imagineeringing now.
I've written the film treatment for NA and am now waiting to see if it will be picked up for 'early development'. Imagine Parrish in a film (what about the girl in Blade 3:Trinity, how do you think she'd do?)
Also, there is some plans afoot to sell Parrish into the pc games market. So concentrate all your mighty power and send 'Parrish' thoughts to the games developers.

I can't remember what the girl from Trinity looks like... having seen her once in an old issue of Empire I couldn't find again if my life depended on it. As far as tough chicks in movies go I was rather fond of the girl in Riddick, but I'm not sure I could see her doing Parrish. *crosses everything and hopes it gets made* It would definitely be on my 'must see at earliest possible time, preferably the first session the day its released' list. And when it came out on dvd I would plug it endlessly at work. ;D
As far as games go... I love them muchly, but the only thing I've ever been able to handle playing on PC is The Sims... me and PC games just don't seem to get along. Give me a nice solid controller any day. But hey, for Parrish, anything!
*IMAGINATES*

I always imagined Parrish being taller and a little more ropbust than either of those women. I've seen Blade 3 and while the fight choreography was great I still got the impression that Parrish was both taller and more muscular than either of those two women, though I am at a loss as to whom I would recomend to take their place.
What about Lady Deathstrike from X-Men II?
Even she was a little small, definately nimble enough in the fight scene though

yes MM,
Parrish is close to two metres. trouble is, nobody in movieland gets close to that (even amongst the men). Can't think of anyone currently that would fit the bil. Maybe we need a newcomer! MDP

Em i havent seen blade trinity in full and i dont want to sound mean to the actress who played in it or anything but she came across as very slim in that movie and i'm not sure if that would suit Parrish but i have no alternative unfourtunately
If slim wasnt a problem (or if you cud get her to beef up) you could try for a tall model and end up with somthing of a Milla Jovovich, but then you run a risk with a heavy price!

Wow! A Parrish film or game... sounds like my idea of heaven! Seriously, Marianne, they're insane if they don't pick at least one of the two up. I can see the film being particularly successful - there's a real sci-fi market about at the moment. *imagineers morning, noon and night* ;D

There is an inherent danger to transfer our heroine to film is that it may not be in the form that we would like. Nor in the vision that we as fans have imagined her in.
I can't imagine what it's like as the auther knowing that what you have created will run the risk of corrupted by someone elses vision.
For example Eon Flux (not sure of the spelling) is now being made into a movie form with Charlese Theron and I've already heard rumours that it won't be anywhere as dirty and gritty as were used to in the MTV shorts.
And don't me strated to the mess they made of Frank Herberts Dune. Sheesh
A movie sequence that at least recquired a treatment in at least three parts was squezed into one, with disastrous results.

Just try and work the contract so you have as much control as possible Marianne (J.K Rowling peoples!)
and since you created it in book for you can therefore with the helps of movie peoples translate it into a movie! and we'll see what you intended for us to see, cant really go wrong there!
