Here's the big one-
What do you think the future will actually be like?
In ten years?
In one hundred?
Further?
Socially, economically, politically, lets hear your wild guesses!

In ten years... nothing will have changed except that we'll have a hell of a lot less oil, coal and gas and so there'll be more fighting over fossil fuels. But hopefully people will be thinking more of renewable energy by then. In a hundred years... we will have flying cars, damnit! ;D I refuse to believe that this sci-fi notion will remain unrealised! XD And also people will be saner. I hope. In a thousand years the human race will have been wiped out by the next Ice Age. *nods* Good thread, stellar!

Next ten should be interesting when it comes to technology, roll-up screens and computers, electric everything...etc, should be an interesting time if we don't all get blown up.
Hundred years? With any luck we will have cures for all our current problems, with a few new ones to contend with. Probably a distopian society or two hanging around, total cyberpunk territory baby.
Yeah, and maybe we will even have those flying cars Chir wants.
After that...we'll either be in space or extinct, flip the coin and see what we get.
