Despite appearences, being a glorified movie trivea buff is NOT an indication of a misspent youth. Nor a waste of time. I personally consider it......research.

Todays quote huh? Lets see something inspirational considering the mile stone that has just been reached. Perhaps a little Henry V, Shapespeare, you know, the DUDE. THE SPEACH OF ST CRISPIEN, The morning of the great battle where Harry and his men are outnumbered four to one by Frenchies and the gangs feeling a little low on morall. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:' Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars. And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.' Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages What feats he did that day: then shall our names. Familiar in his mouth as household words Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester, Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remember'd; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day. Isn't your day better now a little rousing from Willy has been imparted? The milestone I hear you ask. I now have as many posts as Mouse

Speaking as someone who's only just come out of education in which Shakespeare is compulsory... Shakespeare is the ANTICHRIST. I'm sure I'll learn to appreciate his stuff given five years away from having to study it. Nice post count, MM. Any particular status you want? (See Mouse's and CJ's titles...)

How can you not appreciate Willy? The man almost single handedly created almost a third of the english language.
He's the dude.
Though I must confess to not liking him that much myself when I was forced to study him, I didn't blossom as a fan of his until I studied in my own time.
"I am but mad north-north-west: when the wind is southerly I know a hawk from a handsaw." --Hamlet, Act II, scene ii

Shakespeare is the best, Chir!! Macbeth is awesome, and Twelfth Night is so funny, and Romeo and Juliet is so angsty... Shakespeare was the master. *nodnod*

I'm sure he'll be the master again when the pain of many long and boring essays and classes has faded.

What's your favourite movie and why? My all-time favourite is Ginger Snaps - It's a Canadian independent cult horror movie and it rocks... Quote: "Out by sixteen or dead in this scene, but together forever." Yeah, that is excellent. Haven't seen the third back in time one yet, have you? Not sure I can pick an all time favorite.

I went and saw War of the Worlds yesterday, and one quote made me laugh and stuck in my head. 'That machine.. it's from somewhere else...' 'Where, like Europe?' DAMN EUROPEANS! They're sending alien spacecraft after the Americans!

Yeah, writer doing insular American jokes it seems.
Like when the kid asks him 'What's the capital of Australia'?
Funny.

I got a few fav movie quotes. I can't possible choose a fav one.
"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence." - Alex, Clockwork Orange
"Bedways is rightways now, so best we go homeways and get a bit of spatchka." - Dim, Clockwork Orange
"Bollocks!" - Steve the pirate, Dodgeball C'mon, you didn't laugh at that?
"We came to smash everything and ruin your life. God sent us." - Sonny Jim, Romper Stomper
"I wanna play the field - of dicks" - Glauren, Haggard
There are plenty more but i can't think much at the moment.

Ginger Snaps 3 is... pretty good. I was slightly miffed that it was Ginger going through the transformation AGAIN - I would have liked it to be Brigitte and see how Ginger handled it. But apart from that it was great. I'd definitely recommend you see it.
