Hmmm, Whereabouts in Southbank? It's annoyingly big when you're looking for something specific I'll have to think about coming along for a look at the whole thing. Now that I think about it, It should be pretty easy to find...I'll just wander around for a couple of hours ;D. (That is, if I can be bothered to leave the house...)

'Cause you're a pom...and cause you haven't moved here yet. We'd welcome you - if you came legally! Brissie is nice this time of year, gets a bit hot in summer though (Dec - Feb for you Nth Hemispheres) You should go to Tassie for Summer and stick around in Brissie for the rest of the year

A Pom is someone who lives in England - hence, you (as shown by the stats under your avatar). Don't ask me where it came from...it's an Australianism - can be used to be derogatory or otherwise...
My dads a pom! ;D

Sheyana,
the writers festival is usually set up in front of (riverside) the Queensland Conservatorium. However, I hurt my back BADLY last night. I'm not sure if I'm going to get there. I'll give you an update on Friday.
The panel at 2.30pm is Kim Wilkins interviewing Jeff Van de Meer. Should be well worth seeing anyway. They usually have signs up and programme sheets lying around to say which venue what is in. Most panels are held in either the river tent, the lecture theatre in the conservatorium or the state library. Just ask one of the ushers. If you get there a little early you'll have time to find it. If you are interested in writing I can describe the Envision director to you and she will introduce you to others at the envision meeting after the panel. They are all fans and genre writers

hah! thanks guys, you are too kind bit scary when you can't walk for a couple of days. Anyway, i'm still going up to the writers festival today Sheyana, so see you there if you make it. I'll be at Kim's panel with JVDMeer and then we'll be going to hang out and have coffee after. I'm the tallest one, wearing a black singlet top and jeans. (and walking rather stiffly - serves me right, sport injury!!) MDP
