Hi Patchers
Seeing as most of you are writers, I wondered if you would be interested in having a one or two of my colleagues (authors) drop by our board at different times to answer your questions on writing. What do you all think of that?
If you aren't interested I won't pursue it any further.
If you are, then maybe Amy could set up a section for Guest Authors, I could introduce them and their work to you and then they would be available for a few days or a week to answer any q's.
My thought is that they all write different things and could give you different perspectives. They also know and love Parrish!

Oh, definitely! I'll set up the board asap. Would this be a kind of ROR-board?

As someone who has contributed no writing and too much critique, I say yes! Expose these chicks to people who know what they're talking about.

Guys,
I just wanted to check in with you all re: this idea of guests. Anne Bishop is coming on in Jan/Feb but if you want a rest from this after that please say. It's your board! Tell me what you think? MDP

Omigod, Anne Bishop! Only my favourite fantasy author of all time! *dies* Maybe have a guest author every so often, like once every month or so or something. So we have time to percolate and try stuff and come up with new, thoughtful questions. That's my two cents anyway.

Hi Patchers, I'm going to be away for a week so will see you when I get back. I spoke with Anne Bishop today and we are just firming up on dates. She will only be on for four days, so prepare you questions . Will let you know the dates asap. Max, I'm glad to hear you are a member of the Logan Guild. Are you coming to the Aurealis Awards? The details are on my website. If you make it come and say hello. best to all. stay safe. Marianne

Hi all, help is needed!! I've e-mailed Amy about this but not sure if she is away... Anne Bishop is having trouble getting a password to post. Any suggestions as to the reason?
best Marianne

I'm still here Marianne - I don't go till Wednesday. There's sometimes a bit of a delay between registering and receiving the confirmation email. There's nothing I can do about it really. If Anne hasn't got her password in the next 24 hours, she could try registering again with a different name and hopefully that will work, and when I come back I'll delete the faulty account. If all else fails, I'll be here until Wednesday lunchtime - I can email you with my password, Marianne, and Anne can use my account. Hopefully it won't be necessary though.

Hi Patchers,
I'm thinking its time (in due course) that we had a male guest author. What do you think?
MM and Kayne are you interested in posting to the guest authors?

Sure - should be interesting to see how a guy's technique varies from the female authors we've had so far. What do the rest of you think?

Hi Patchers, things have been quiet lately and it occurred to me you guys should do a story a bit the same as the word assn thread. A paragraph each and see where it goes. Just a thought anyway. I've done them before they can be fun. On the Glasgow front, I'm hoping to see Amy while I'm in the UK in August. What about you Cj? I've also put news of my new sale to Orbit on the Parrish page of my website. It's not a Parrish book but she hasn't gone for good - just mustering forces. best Marianne ps had anyone seen the German Code Noir cover? cough.
