So, you read the book, saw the movie, bought the soundtrack and the videogame.
Is the idea of cross-platform entertainment interesting, or does it satisfy an urge or is it just rampant commercialism?

Personally, I love the idea. As a creator the notion that your book might be translated across mediums is the greatest compliment. It's also exciting to see how your ideas might stimulate other creative people. I loved see the Parrish Fan Art, and the animation and the game, even if it didn't match my own vision.

Have you ever been offended about where someone has taken it?

*grin* I'd be interested in the answer to that question.
And if I ever get a novel published and popular enough to have fanfic written about it, I can't wait to see what crazy pairings/situations get dreamed up with my characters. ;D
Of course, I know that from a legal standpoint, authors are advised not to read the fics. But I probably would anyway. Sneakily. ;D
