I didn't even hope I would get to do a forum chat with her. Marianne you just keep accumulating points. One of these days I'm going to have to do something really nice to thank you.

Amy you stop making fun of my fannish nature. Marianne stop running, I'm not infectious.
Now I need to read everything she has ever written again just to get my brain going. Should get me ready for when she comes on.

Amy you stop making fun of my fannish nature. *laughs* As if I could make fun of you for being a fanboy, when I'm an unashamed fangirl... XD And back on topic - I keep meaning to read her stuff... wonder if the library has any? *ponder*

Read Silver Screen. It's a must. And my favorite.

Sorry, getting psyched up a little early. Reading Silver Screen for the eighth or ninth time and getting a little excited.

Tomorrow!! Questions ready, energy drinks piled up, scary fanboy attitude geared up and ready to go.
Lets see if I can scare her off with my uncharacteristic loyalty to her work.
Marianne I apologise in advance for anything that may happen over the next few days.

Haa Haa!
Well, I'll kick things off, though Justina won't be here until tonight Oz time.
Firstly, welcome Justina, we're delighted to have you at Parrish's Patch. You were a special request, and have some devoted fans out here in Oz. Thanks for visiting us. I shall say in advance that *innatemalk* is having a major fan boy attack about your visit, and could run your publicity campaign single handedly! Go IM.
My question is something that is of interest to me particularly. As a woman published in novel length SF, have you found a resistance to your work from the traditional SF male readership both through reviews and commentary?

Hi Justina,
I was wondering - how much research into Quantum Theory have you done, and if you've come across ideas and notions that, in a different light, may be viewed as mysticism?
Cheers

Heya Justina. It's an honour having you on the forum, I've been a devout follower your work since highschool when I picked up Silver Screen and haven't been able to put it down since.
As Marianne said I'm having a bit of a fanboy episode about having you here. But for everybody's sake I'll try and contain my enthusiasm.
Questions, so many questions.
First off the bat. You work in a catagory I like to think of as "experimental" fiction. Your writing is unlike any I've read before. It challenges the reader, the world and the preconcieved ideas about what the world and even the universe really is. So what I would love to know is where did it all come from? Were all your speculations on such extreme aspects of reality inspired by anything in particular or were they mearly the result of the forever drifting atoms of inspiration?
