I'm a huge game fan... have been ever since I got a second-hand NES when I was little. Ah, the days of scrolling sixteen bitt games. Gotta love Bomberman and the original Mario games. ;D I'm definitely an RPG girl myself. I don't go much in for fighting games or even games where going into a room guns blazing and blasting things is a major component... although I did become obsessed with Jet Force Gemini for a while. My all-time favourite games are probably Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy IX and X. Got so many other ones I love though... Ico and Prince of Persia and heaps of old games from the SNES era come to mind. Right now I'm hanging out for the new zelda game and PoP 2... *dies waiting*

Will you shoot me if I say I'm not a PoP fan?

Nah. Everyone has their own thing. I'm just a sucker for stupidly amusing banter and a soppy love story. Which, IMO, PoP has. Way too short though, and a bit too linear. The story's really what I love it for.

Omigod, am I the only one that bawled their eyes out during the final cutscenes? Seriously, I'm a shocker, I had tears running down my cheeks. *shakes head at self* It really was a brilliant story, you felt so in to it.

Nope, definitely the end that illicited the waterworks from me.
SPOILERS
Especially when Yuna is sending all her aeons, and especially especially when Tidus goes to leave and she runs to him... and goes straight through him!
Pretty much the whole end, yeah.

Tidus is a bastard. She says ***SPOILER*** "I love you" and he doesn't even answer!

Well, I'm not a girl and this will proabably steer away from the stories of blubbing over emotive manga , but I love games. ;D Last one that transfixed me from beginning to end was Doom3, play it lights out and headphones on, and try not to crap yerself. It's twisted, sick, lonely and full of shocks and scares. My latest purchase is the awesome Rome: Total War. It's impossible to describe the scope of this game - from being one of three rival factions in the Latin city state and pretty much obeying the Senate's policy, your family line (maybe over several generations) must gain total control of Rome and eventually all of Europe and North Africa. Use diplomacy, spies and assassins and of course - the sword. ;D Unfortunately I've barely played it cos my machine turns itself off when asked to do anything demanding - but my new Athlon 64 3000 should arrive on Tuesday, fingers crossed. Now I'm drooling. Blokes can shop too.
