Live action. Made in Oz, as I wanted it to be. Early option stages yet, but am pretty hopeful it will get off the ground.

Well, we've got the talent here. I know many CGI artists currently looking for FX work right now...

Marianne, So you're saying the movie might be set only 22 years in the future then I'm still good with that. These are great books and have a strong story line for making into a movie Craig J. Brain

Excellent news! I recently pitched the trilogy for a possible series run to a friend working on Lost... Thought it would be a pefect 'Lawless' set. It's been a favorite from the beginning, & just finished my 3rd reading...

What do you mean by a "Lawless set"? MDP

Lucy. That is if she could be peeled away from BSG ( & could be talked into facial prosthetics to be accurate, at least untill the CD storyline entered)... & it was more or less brought up during a 'what would be hot for next season' brainstorming session. Nothing past a "what'ya guys think of this?". I did a few character & set sketches that I can post if you like. It would figure that 2 of my 5 favorite authors are Aussies, & 2 out of 3 I pitched. Matt Reilly being the other...

*blinks* For someone working on LOST? Okay, if that found its way into JJ Abrams' lap somehow, I would actually die of squee. I hope something comes of it...

Unfortunately, not quite that high up the ladder... I'm an old production designer (costumes, sets, FX & props, etc), & have a 'pod' of close friends spread throughout the industry. Some of us go back 30+ years of working on projects together. A couple times a year we get together & brainstorm, looking for the "Big One", where we can all come together, create something truly awesome, & nail the leading credit in our individual fields (writer, designer, artist, cinematographer, etc). It's a dream we've held onto since banging out shorts on a manual typewriter to shoot on super8 film, back when video was a 'for studios only' medium...

wow! that's kind of you to mention it. Anyone show an interest? best MDP
ps funnily enough, I had a producer in the States interested in optioning the series a while back He sent a package proposal to Lucy Lawless - but it happened at the same time as the floods in New Orleans, and then he left the company he was with and there was no follow up. I have this image in my mind of Code Noir floating off down a river somewhere.
