I just wanted to let our English members know that I am thinking of them and praying that they and their families are OK.
Please call in and let me know how you are.

For some reason yesterday I got off the underground early and walked the rest of the way to work. If I hadn't I'd have been in Kings Cross when it happened. The first I knew about it was when I got to work and they were saying it was a power surge... It was a long walk back!

First, to those of you with losses or fears, my heartfelt sympathies. I pray your loved ones are safe and praise their courage to continue with their everyday lives. You have our hopes for your continued safety and our our support.
For those responsible, First we mourn..... then we come for you.

Hi Jac,
that is so scary. My editor had a similar experience.
<great big comfort hug>

I spent the day in a hermetically sealed room full of electronics, and walked out to see news of London winning the olympics on the TV in the breakroom.
Then I spent the day in a hermetically sealed room full of electronics, and walked out to see news of London being bombed on the TV in the breakroom.
The world does fncked up stuff when you turn your back.

Just seen this thread - thanks for taking the time out to think of us UKers.
I'm about 200 or more miles away from London, but it was still a shock. And several of the bombers come from where I live. It's kind of mortifying. >_< But the community seems to be pulling together really well.
The weird thing now is that at every train station there're police with guns. Not just handguns either. It's bizarre to see. They look like they're made of plastic from the distance I've seen them, but they can kill people. Eek... :s

They look like they're made of plastic from the distance I've seen them, but they can kill people. Eek... :s Chir, Sad really. Welcome to the world as seen by the Israelis and more recently the US, Spain, and Egypt. The world's not the nice safe place we've always deluded ourselves into thinking it was. Never has been, never will be. We could use an OYA about now.The Tert and the Dis have nothing on reality and the reality most see isn't even close. Then again, life's temporary, it was never meant to be permanent. BTW, technical note on the submachine guns. If they're carrying the type of rounds I suspect they are, you're better off with the SMG's than the handguns. Certain tactical SMG rounds are much less prone to overpenetrate than duty-issue handgun rounds, ie. less chance of going through soft target matter and lodging in next available backstop. (Send me PM if you wish clearer translation. Trust me on this one.)

>_< Bloody terrorists. I'll never understand extremists. *is unable to formulate many thoughts on the subject right now as it's 11pm and Oya needs to go to bed* And thanks for the gun trivia... I think.

Well, It's never the question that's indiscreet only the answer.
My original post was a bit indiscreet.
Let's just say, there are wolves among the sheep and I get paid to hunt the wolves.
