Hello everyone, I am new here even though I had signed up for an account here ages ago. I had the pleasure of meeting Marianne over the weekend at Thylacon 2005 and spending some time with her, and after being beat into submission I am posting here for the first time! I also thought I'd post this picture taken of Marianne and myself at the Con: Happy now Marianne? ;D I promise to have some Parrish fanart for you soon! (I also hope you're feeling better.)

Wow, what a coup! First post of a piccie of a member with MDP. (I believe)
From yer piccie I can assume you're a rocker, a pirate, a Star Wars fan, and (looks at purse) a nu-hippie. ;D And, by the author on your left shoulder I deduce that you're also a Parrish Plessis fan?
You're gonna fit right in.

Hey Cassandra, you posted. Good girl (I'll take the half nelson off now) The photo brings back happy memories (although I do have a rather strange expression on my face??). I had a great time in Hobart and everyone was friendly and interested in the panels. Cassandra got thrown onto a panel minutes before it started on the first day and handled it with great aplomb. hi to James as well

Hey Glitter, welcome out of lurkerdom! Lucky duck, I would have killed to get to Thylacon. Well, maybe not quite, but two of my very favourite authors in one place is a pretty big incentive. XD
Grim has already given his very scientific analysis based on your picture, but I'll still ask you what sort of things you like as well as (presumably XD) Parrish and cyberpunk?

Gee Grimm, I didn't think I was so readable!! X3 Yes, I am a Star Wars fan, I am starting my own full-chick punk rock band (I'm a singer) and I am a very big Parrish fan. (My wallet is a pink Hello Kitty one, I'm a Hello Kitty fangirl) The thing that made me like Parrish so much was that she is a strong female character, and I love characters like that. (which you can see from some of my art.) Pleased you got to the dentist a.s.a.p Marianne, a few years back I smashed one of my front teeth clean out and I couldn't see the dentist for 2 days and I had to go to school with it! *ow* But after that I had a replacement one fitted into my mouth. Teeth are annoying things sometimes. An answer to Mouse's question: Hrmm.. I like drawing, and have been getting to sf and fantasy art this year thanks to my friend James. (You can check it out at my website.) I also love singing, war-gaming, dancing, soccer, and lazing around on the couch watching movies.

I didn't get to the mid-night screening although I would have liked too, although I doubt anyone here in Tassie would have been doing much. (Even at the mid-night screening of The Matrix Revolutions the only people that dressed up was these three guys dressed as agents.) I must say, when I was first introduced to Marianne I was speechless and like 'omg... i am not worthy!!' *die* Marianne is so lovely and a great person to talk to!

Now it could be me jumping to conclusions, but can anyone else begin to see where the whole "Parrish being reeeeeeeeeeeeally tall" thing comes from? Are you sure you're married Marianne?
