Hi Neko,
sorry for the late reply. My cable connection SUCKS at the moment. I keeping falling asleep waiting for it to connect to pages.
I have the Sentients series to finish (2 more books) but I have both a chick lit and a VERY dark gothic YA fantasy in the works. I keep saying I'm going to put a taster up and then I keep working on it. There is a page on my website that talks about it. It's called The Age of Rage: Lady Great and The Detester (Bk 1) and Ruzalia is book 2. This 'duology' hasn't been sold yet - am wanting to get it finished before we send it out.
Then there's Parrish book 4. Then there's my poor film treatment which is in about draft six at this stage. Aaaghhh!
My 8-12 fantasy novel, Citrine, is out next year as well.

Hi Marianne,
Ouch! Overloaded much? Makes my head hurt just to think about a plate that full. Take your time and do it right. You keep putting them out and i'll keep reading them.
Just remember to take it easy once in a while so you don't burn out.

Hi Neko,
thanks for the kind thoughts.
Now I have a question for you all - have any of you read anything classified as 'teen' literature?

as in YA?
a lot of the Tamora Pierce stuff I read is, as is all the Megan Whalen Turner stuff and Crown and Court Duel by Sherwood Smith. There is some other stuff I'm sure, but I switched straight from Junior Fic to Adult Fic (although I still read some Junior Fic =P) Mainly I read fantasy and some mystery in Adult Fic, and school girl novels and some fantasy in Junior Fic now, with a smattering of each in the YA.
Oh, I read some of Meg Cabot's stuff as well (although not the princess diaries ones).

I'm talking about the upper end of YA. 16+. Is there any violence or sexual content in books for that age? I'm thinking I might have to turn my YA into an adult book.

ahhh, not really descriptive violence or sexual content that I've seen in that age range, although by then most of my friends were switching to the Adult Fic anyway.

Piers Anthony's Mode series has some, and i guess you can call most of his work YA. I just read the Jennifer Scales books by MaryJanice Davidson who does do Ya and while there were suggestive, and implied scenes none were ever really descriptive. Even though most kids have heard about it or experimented with it by that age there aren't too many books with it. Sorry.

Thanks Neko and Shey,
I've decided to change it to an adult market. I doubt it would ever sell as is. Much too confronting.
I've been talking to Chir about making a members only section here, where I could serialise some new Parrish stories for free. What do you guys think?

I think that is a great way to return the favour to your supporters, and makes becoming a member more attractive Craig

Thanks for answering Craig. When Chir gets back online we might do that then.
